Barberry Tales

This is where I’ll share our sailing adventures as Fraser and I set off in our small sailboat to sail from Bangor in Northern Ireland all the way to Turkey in the eastern Mediterranean. You can follow our journey as we tack and gybe our way southwards, then east, then south again in a wiggly line, then east, south, east, south, east.

Where was I?

Season’s End

In our last blog post for this season, Fraser talks about our excursion to some incredible Roman ruins and how we lifted Barberry out of the water in torrential rain.

Lazy days and an Early Christmas

This week, Kerry talks about swimming in the rain in crystal clear water, and finding an octopus beneath our boat in an anchorage.

Kalamos Calamity

In last week’s blog Kerry left you on Thursday 2nd October on a very rainy day in Messolonghi. Now it’s Friday, and guess what? It’s still raining. We stayed on the boat until I got cabin fever and then I went for a run in the rain. I always like running in rain for some…

Messy-Longhi

This week, Kerry has a tiny temper tantrum related to male chauvinism, but also tells of the fun they are having in Mesolonghi. And the electric bike actually works again!
